About Central Library
The Central Library, located on the first floor of the Satyam block, covers over 1,140.52 square meters and is Wi-Fi-enabled with CCTV surveillance. It houses more than 43,126 books, including textbooks, reference materials, and journals in fields such as Engineering, Science, Technology, Management, and General Studies. The library subscribes to 108 periodicals and offers access to over 1,129 online journals via platforms like IEEE Xplore and DELNET. The collection is organized using the Dewey Decimal Classification, and the open-access system allows users to explore resources freely.
A specialized Competitive Examinations Reference Section supports students preparing for exams like GATE, GRE, and ESE, featuring study materials and solutions from ACE Engineering Academy. Additionally, the library’s Audio Visual Rooms are equipped for multimedia presentations, recording lectures, and seminars, providing a modern, collaborative learning space.

Library Rules and Regulations
- All faculty members and students need to present their ID cards while logging in and out of the library at the entry/exit gate system.
- An identity card is mandatory for accessing the library and/ borrowing books.
- Bags, aprons, and coats are not allowed inside the library. Kindly leave these items on the counter at the entrance.
- Teaching faculty is entitled to borrow up to six books per semester, while non-teaching staff may borrow up to two books per semester. Students are permitted to borrow up to five books for a period of two weeks.
- Silence should be maintained at all times in the library.
- Only books, notebooks, pens, and electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, and laptops) are permitted inside the library.
- Speaking on cell phones is strictly prohibited. Students may use cell phones only for reading and photocopying purposes.
- Photography, video calls, or video conferencing is strictly forbidden inside the library.
- Borrowed books must be returned in proper condition. Any missing or damaged pages must be brought to the notice of the library staff immediately upon discovery.
- Books must be returned on or before the due date.
- Borrowed and stamped books are not to be brought again inside the library.
- If a book is lost, the borrower needs to replace it with the same edition or with the latest edition. If a book is unavailable, the borrower has to pay twice the cost of the book.
- Any damage towards the books, such as pencil/pen marks or underlining, should be reported during borrowing the book. Borrowers will be responsible for replacing the damaged books.
- Reference books, periodicals, dictionaries, encyclopedias, project reports, and journals are for in-library use only and will not be issued to the students.
- Students are advised not to borrow more than one copy of the same title.
- Students must visit the library personally with their library cards for issuing the book.
- The use of cell phones or other devices which may cause a disturbance is strictly prohibited within the library premises.
- On completion of the specific course/duration, all borrowed books must be returned without any exception.
- Users are requested to cooperate with the library staff with inspections of books or items which are being taken out of the library.

- Library remains open on all working days from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
- Sunday 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
- During Summer vacation 9.30 am to 4.30 pm
Circulation Section (Issue/Return of the Books): all working days, except on Sunday
- Timings: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
The Central Library is closed on all government and designated festival holidays.

- SC/ST Book Bank Books: Special book bank services for students from SC/ST communities, offering textbooks for extended periods
- Audio Visual Section: A dedicated space with multimedia facilities for educational and research purposes.
- Internet, Intranet, and Remote Access Facility: Provides internet and intranet access, along with remote access to digital library resources.
- SDI (Selective Dissemination of Information): Customized information delivery service based on users’ specific research or academic needs.
- CAS (Current Awareness Services): Regular updates on the latest research, journals, and publications relevant to users’ fields of study.
- Newspaper Clipping: A collection of relevant and important news clippings for academic and research purposes.
- Self Learning: Resources and materials designed for independent study and self-paced learning.
- Multimedia (CD/DVDs): Access to educational CDs and DVDs with multimedia content to support learning and research.
- NPTEL Video Lectures: Video lectures from the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning for engineering subjects.
- Competitive Examination Books: A dedicated collection of study materials and books for various competitive exams (e.g., GATE, GRE).
- Open Access e-Journals: Access to a range of e-journals freely available to users for academic and research purposes.
- Previous Year Question Papers: A repository of past years’ question papers for exam preparation and reference.
- Accessing the Racks with the Arrangement of Books as per DDC: Books organized on racks according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system for easy access.
- Providing Back Volumes of Journals and Previous Project Reports: Availability of older journal volumes, project reports, and other course materials for reference.

Library Automation
Automation
The Central Library is fully automated, using NGL Core Engine version 3.3 Helium Library Software, an advanced Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) with Barcode Technology. This system supports all library operations, including cataloging, circulation, inventory management, and user services, enhancing efficiency and accuracy for both staff and patrons.
OPAC
The library provides an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is open to all the users over the campus wide LAN at the URL: http://192.168.8.202:8080/newgenlibctxt/. 2 PCs are exclusively dedicated for OPAC search to facilitate the users.
Digital Library
The Digital Library features 32 computers, offering seamless access to e-journals like IEEE Xplore and NPTEL video lectures. It is a member of DELNET, enabling resource sharing with partner institutions, and provides access to the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), which offers an extensive collection of e-learning resources through a single-window search.
Digital Library Rules and Regulations
- A valid college identity proof is required to access the Digital Library.
- All students need to record their names in the digital library register located at the entrance.
- Digital Library is intended strictly for academic and research purposes.
- Login IDs and passwords for e-resources will be provided on request. Access to these resources is IP-based and restricted to the college campus.
- Altering the settings or display of library computers is strictly prohibited.
- All computer hardware, software, and accessories must be handled with care.
- Online chatting is not permitted.
- Playing games on computers is strictly not permitted.
- Members will be responsible for the safekeeping of their pen drives, CDs/DVDs, cell phones, wallets, and other personal belongings.

The library displays its collection of National and International Journals and Magazines on designated shelves. At present, it subscribes to 108 journals. On the completion of its volume, the journal is bound together. The volume is then added to the Back-Volume Shelf for archival and reference purposes.

Library Committee
The Library Committee consists of faculty members from each department, with the Librarian serving as the Convener. The committee plays a vital role in ensuring that the library remains well-equipped and up-to-date, focusing on the acquisition of new books and addressing infrastructural requirements. Through their collective efforts, the committee strives to maintain a resource-rich environment that supports the academic and research needs of both students and faculty.
Functions of Library Advisory Committee:
- Identify recent developments and requirements of the students and the faculty during the past semester.
- Up gradation of library through new titles and increase in the number of volumes of existing titles.
- Steps to be taken to make library more user-friendly.
- Evaluation of the library usage.
- Library services and usage
- Procurement of all semester books for all branches.
- Identification and procurement of Department wise available journals as per AICTE.
- Discussion on Online journals, NPTEL video lectures.
- Manages data base of books, journals, instructional resources
- Manage digital library resources
- Conducts meetings with librarian, HoDs to recommend new purchases as per changing academic regulations
- Keep an account of lecture notes developed by the faculty and makes it available to students for access
